Straight Tee Technology and Process
Straight tee plays an important role in its application with beautiful shape, smooth surface, acid and alkali resistance, corrosion resistance texture properties and other advantages and characteristics. Straight tee is used in the pipe connection, connecting different tube. Different material tee will bring about different effect and performance.
1. Classifications
Pipe tee can be divided into mechanical tee, groove reducing tee, groove mechanical tee, ordinary tee; according to producing method, it has suppress tee, butt welded tee, casting tee, forging tee, etc. There are two kinds of tee shape: straight tee and reducing tee. Straight tee has three same size opening.
2. Characteristics
Straight tee forging is excellent with smooth surface, which is resist to acid, alkali and high temperature. It also has reasonable prices, good appearance, and strong texture performance. Straight tee plays an important role in its application, withstanding harsh conditions and performing well. It is suitable for small flow rate of liquid pipeline output devices and other fluid pipe fittings.
3. Technological process
Straight tee has unique production process and technical parameters. Manufacture according to its technology can make use of its value and operation. Here is its production process:
Stainless steel tube → blanking → bulging → punching → crew cut → opening welding → solution treatment → washing → grinding and welding → polishing → pressure test → surface test → branding and certification → packaging. Using and processing under this way can help ensure the quality and performance of materials.
4. Technical parameters
1) Operating temperature: -40℃~200℃, which should be strictly controlled.
2) Pull-out test: its connection drawing force is 3 times as national methods.
3) Pressing test: press it into 1/3 of outer diameter produce no crack or gap.
4) Air pressure test: each one has pass through 1.6 MPa pressure test.
5) Pressure-tight test: after connecting and under 2.5 MPa within 5min, it has no leakage.
6) Tensile strength: it is no less than 520 MPa and its ductility should be more than 35%.
7) Corrosive resistance: there is no corroding after salt spray test.
5. Application
1) Heating system in buildings, including floor, siding and radiant heating.
2) Pure water supply system which can be directly used.
3) Central air-conditioning system.
4) Industrial pipeline system used for transmitting chemical mediator.
6. Selection methods
1) Make sure about pipeline overall operation coefficient C (that is safety coefficient): in general places, where the temperature is less than 70℃, you can choose C=1.25; in some important situation where the temperature is more than 70℃, you can use C=1.5;
2) Cooling system (under 40℃) should choose P.N1.0~1.6MPa pipe fittings; While heating system should use over PN2.0MPa pipeline products;
3) Considered the two principles above, pipe fitting SDR should be less than that of pipes, which means the wall thickness of pipe fitting should be no less than same specification pipe.
